Lahore: The action-packed quarterfinal encounters of Telenor 4G Super Kabaddi League kept the audience on the edge of their seats last night and the excitement is set to reach its peak with the business end of the competition almost upon us. With the final set to be contested tomorrow (May 10, 2018), the heat is on and teams are putting everything on the line to make it to the showpiece event.

The quarterfinal stage last night was an exhibition of just what is at stake. Eight top teams from the group stages locked horns with each other in a bid to make it to the last four stage. One of the finest displays of courage, skill, passion, determination, grit, and resilience was witnessed as the competing teams left it all on the mat in their quest for glory.

The first quarterfinal saw Kashmir Janbaaz take on Karachi Zorawars. The closely-fought battle saw the Kashmir boys come out on top with a final score of 39-32 in their favor.

In the second quarterfinal tie, Gwadar Bahadurs went up against Faisalabad Sherdils in which the boys from Faisalabad took the spoils in a somewhat one-sided encounter. The final score was 45-26 in favor of the Faisalabad Sherdils.

Next up, Sahiwal Bulls crossed swords with Peshawar Haiders in another nail-biting thriller. The two teams fought tooth and nail for every point and wrested the initiative from each other at different points in the match. The topsy-turvy encounter eventually saw Sahiwal Bulls advance to the semifinals. The final score was 36-32 in Sahiwal’s favor.

The best was saved for last. In the fourth quarterfinal, Gujrat Warriors faced off against Multan Sikandar in what turned out to be one of the most exciting matches of Super Kabaddi League 2018. This fiercest of encounters ultimately saw Gujrat Warriors edge past Multan Sikandar with a score of 34-32.

The other semifinal will see Faisalabad Sherdils go up against Sahiwal Bulls. The battle for the final begins at 7 PM tonight.
